Bob Findlay To Perform Live

After a five-year absence from performing live Scots-born rock musician Bob Findlay is set to hit the stage again. It has recently been announced on ReverbNation, iLike and the ?Bob Findlay Music Page? on Facebook that Findlay will be performing a 30-minute ?live-to-air? acoustic set of his original material. An on-air interview with XRLENT Radio Australia D.J. Sean Campbell is also on the agenda. The fact that Findlay, who resides in Tasmania, will be performing selected tracks acoustically adds to the anticipation of the event. His former acoustic performances were blues-based and a far cry from his commercially available material since his return to the music industry in 2007 after a lengthy struggle with alcohol abuse which Findlay himself has said was the reason for his premature departure from the industry. Findlays performance is part of a charity event organ guitar straps ised by the BuZZ.Ning network and XRLENT Radio Australia for ?The Outpost Inc.? a volunteer-operated crisis care organisation in Geelong, Australia. As it is an online event, listeners can tune in and participate in the event from all parts of the globe. The event begins at 7pm A.E.S.T on August 15th. Findlays most recent musical activity has been the release of ?Yesterdays Clown? and ?Cage.? Both tracks are currently available for streaming on iLike and ReverbNation where he has been hovering around the Number 150 region in the global rock charts in a field of approximately 30,000 other artists. Both ?Yesterdays Clown? and ?Cage? are somewhat melancholic in nature with a definite autobiographical feel to them. Findlay has only made brief comments regarding the tracks stating that ?Yesterdays Clown? was written merely so that he could incorporate the term in a song.
